During the last lockdown, Nieves Barragan's Sabor restaurant launched Sabor En Casa - a full-on meal kit service bringing the key dishes from her Mayfair restaurant into Londoners' homes. And this week she follows that up with a more casual delivery option - a diffusion line if you will - called Rico! Rico!.
Inspired by the kind of food she was cooking herself during lockdown "sharing style plates any Spanish mother would serve up to her family. Super comforting dishes to eat with a spoon". Think of this as more of a takeaway, than something you have to cook yourselves.
What that translates to in practice is all the key favourites like Pan de Coca con Tomate, Jamón Croquetas and Tortilla along with dishes like:
- Patatas a la Riojana
- 40 Days Aged Beef Hamburgesa
- Arroz Negro
- Homemade Basque Cheesecake
The only downside? You'll need to live within three miles of the Heddon Street restaurant which is the delivery radius for Deliveroo. So if you're outside Zone 2, then opt for Sabor En Casa which is delivered nationwide. You can read our Test Drive of that here.
