They came back from the lockdown all guns blazing with a hugely popular Hackney pop-up in addition to the original Shoreditch restaurant and now Tomos Parry's Brat is about to try something new. It's launching a brunch menu for the first time.
Their amazing grilled flatbreads will kick off the menu, this time served with lardo and rich egg yolks, which is frankly quite enough for us to be sold on the idea. They'll also be breaking down Mangalitsa pigs for terrines that they'll be serving on toast with plum jam. And rather than their famous turbot, hay-smoked kippers and onions will be the fish of the day.
In addition to that, Tomos says that the "chopped egg salad returns alongside potato cake and a simple plate of grilled lamb chops and green sauce”. We had that chopped egg salad from the launch menu at Brat and it really was very, very good indeed.
They'll also be recommending a glass of Txakoli as a good accompaniment to the brunch and we'll certainly drink to that.
