The first restaurant to open up in the new Wood Lane railway arches development by White City, Prairie Fire are bringing their low and slow ethos of barbecued foods to West Londoners. 

The former executive sushi chef at Zuma is opening a tiny sushi restaurant in the Television Centre at White City development. With just 15 seats expect this to be a restaurant booking to boast about.

The latest addition to the BBC studios redevelopment in White City, W12 studios is bringing a series of rotating kitchens and a big new bar to the area.

So this clearly isn't your average bowling alley (particularly if your local bowling alley is the lovely, but oh so very unmodernised Rowans in Finsbury Park). It's the new All Star Lanes which has just opened in the new Westfield London extension and it does look beautiful. The whole place is massive with 10 walnut-finished bowling lanes, karaoke rooms, no fewer than three bars and a private room to boot.

Ever fancied yourself as someone who runs a popup restaurant? Well a new competition running this summer at Westfield London might be able to help with that.

Food Popup is asking for entries for pop-up ideas to be put to a panel of judges consisting of chef Omar Allibhoy of Tapas Revolution, Bloomberg food criticc Richard Vines, Jonathan Prynn from The Standard and Jeremy Pang, founder of School of Wok.

As part of their White City House complex over at Television Centre, Soho House have opened all day eatery and bar The Allis to the public serving up a loosely international brasserie menu with a few US highlights.

The openings at White City are growing apace with another on the way to the revamped BBC Television Centre. This time it's the turn of Homeslice, which has come a long way from stalls at street food markets to this, their fifth restaurant in the city.

Bluebird has been a big hit on the King's Road for 20 years and now they're looking to finally open elsewhere. The first new Bluebird will be in the former home of the BBC in White City.

They have restaurants in Bristol and Spain, and now Wellbourne are coming to London. It's an all-day brasserie affair by chefs with an impressive pedigree and a pretty great sounding menu too.
