Only a few weeks after helping to relaunch TAQ in Notting Hill, Jackson Boxer already has a new restaurant nearly ready to go. The chef, best known for Dove in Notting Hill and Brunswick House in Vauxhall, will be opening Vesper in Exmouth Market next. 

There's actually a link with TAQ here too, as Vesper is opening in what used to be the Exmouth Market outpost of Taqueria. Vesper, however, sounds more like it's going to be an East London version of Dove, with a bistro-style menu. Just how they're categorising the menu itself seems a little vague, with it being described like

Jackson Boxer has given his Notting Hill restaurant a complete overhaul to turn it into what is now Dove. We went along to see what exactly had changed. 

There was quite the kerfuffle on Instagram when Jackson Boxer took to social to announce that his much-loved Notting Hill restaurant Orasay was going to close at the end of 2024. "There are a multitude of reasons for this," the chef and restaurateur said, "but the simplest one is that Orasay was never a very lucrative business. We specialised in working with a fragile and elusive product

Jackson Boxer has taken over the restaurant at a Covent Garden hotel to create Henri, his own take on a Parisian Bistro. We went down to get a slice of France in the heart of London.

Jackson Boxer's long term residency at Selfridges is giving the Oxford Street shop the edge in London's competitive in-store dining scene. We popped down for a weekend lunch to check it out.
