Greenwich locals will be pleased to hear that a historical building, which has been closed to the public for years, is about to reopen in its new guise as a pub. Enderby House is a Grade II listed building on the riverfront that is pretty much all that remains of a wharf built back in the 1800s. Next time you're heading to the O2 for a concert and want to grab something to eat pre or post-event, there's now something new to try. Pub company Nicholson’s are opening The Observatory pub.

Huge new Greenwich housing development, Kidbrooke Village is about to get its first pub. Young's are opening The Depot this week and it's what they're describing as an "all-day dining community pub". If you haven't already been out to see the floating garden jetty Farmopolis out on the Greenwich Peninsula, the opening of a new cafe might be the thing to entice you.

Farmopolis Cafe is going to be a permanent venue down here on the peninsula. It's being run by the same company Kofler and Kompanie , behind The Magazine restaurant at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery with their head and sous chefs responsible for the kitchen here.

Greenwich is getting a new bistro/deli devoted to fizz and cheese. Champagne + Fromage should be opening their doors on Church Street within Greenwich market next month. It's the third site for the group run by husband and wife team Stefano Frigerio and Maud Fierobe and cheese expert Franck Le Blais.

The Greenwich space will be pretty small, with space for 20 inside and 20 outside. On the menu will be a variety of French food, including fresh tartines and the deli
