Borough Yards

The Harts Group (who are the people that run Barrafina) are making some big changes in Borough Yards. Until recently, they've had a trio of openings there: Barrafina, Parrillan and Bar Daskal. However, one of those is no more. Parrillan is gone, and in its place comes new "cerveceria" Los Primos. 

This new bar is inspired by the kind of neighbourhood bars that many of you will have come across in Spain and wished we could have something like them in London. Well that's what they're trying to do here. So, like them, Los Primos will be walk-in only. As part of all this, it also

West African restaurant Akara is the follow up to Akoko and sees the team focusing in on deep-fried snacks and a not inconsiderable amount of heat. We head down to Borough Yards to check it out.

The man behind Fitzrovia's Akoko, Aji Akokomi, is getting ready to open his next West African restaurant - Akara in Borough Yards.

On the cusp of celebrating their fifth birthday, the folks at Bancone are also getting ready to open their third restaurant.

They're the latest to join the procession of restaurants opening in Borough Yards. The space itself is a huge railway arch and it's going to have an open kitchen, plus a large mezzanine space upstairs that can be hired out for private parties.

Just around the corner from Borough Market, you'll find the latest Barrafina, and this one is particularly good if you're dining as a group. We took a stool up at the marble counter to give their specials a go.

They've already launched Bar Daskal and Parrillan at Borough Yards now the Harts Group are onto their final launch there, a new Barrafina.

After success at King's Cross, The Harts Group have opened a second Parrillan at Borough Yards - bigger than before and with an indoor restaurant too. We went down to try it out.
