  Following on from the hugely popular Exmouth Market and Kings Cross venues, Caravan has opened a third restaurant, south of the river. We check it out. 

• Caravan Bankside brings brunch and more to the south bank

  

  Already hugely popular in Exmouth Market and King's Cross, Caravan are making the leap across the river and are coming to Bankside this Autumn (that's just down the road from Hixter). 

  UIt'll be an all-day restaurant and, like the other restaurants, breakfast and brunch will play a big part of that. On that menu will be: 

  • Baked eggs with tomato pepper ragout, Greek yoghurt & Aleppo chilli
  • Jalapeno corn bread

• The New Tate Modern Switch House brings with it a new bar and restaurant for the South Bank

  

  Big changes are coming to Tate Modern next month as the big new 10 storey Switch House building is launched. The huge new building that's been attached to the main gallery also means they're bringing a brand new bar and restaurant to the South Bank. 

  First off, there's the Tate Modern Bar (Switch House, Level 1), then there's the Tate Modern Restaurant (Switch House, Level 9) - and there's a 10th-floor viewing

• Tonkotsu brings ramen to Bankside as Tsuru is revamped

  

  Updated 5/8/2015 with new soft launch details.

  The ongoing march of the mighty Tonkostu continues. This time they're taking Tsuru Bankside (run by the same people) and relaunching it as Tonkotsu Bankside.

  The renovation is well underway and they're planning to reopen in August with the brand new look (see above). While it'll be keeping tonkatsu (that's the breaded pork) on the menu for the regulars,
