Having originally opened on Newington Green, followed by Highbury Corner, the next opening for wine bar and shop Yield will be Angel, as Yield Essex Road gets ready to launch close to Islington Green.
Yield is a neighbourhood wine bar and shop that originally opened just over a decade ago with a focus on natural wine. In their shops and wine bars you'll find an excellent selection of the very best natural wines, backed up by cheese, charcuterie, pasta and more. You can look through their selections and buy something to take home and everything on their shelves is also available to drink right there.
If you're drinking in their wine bar, they have a selection of small plates and cheese & charcuterie boards that showcase all the products and produce they have in store. They've always been one of our favourite wine bars and this should be an excellent addition to the Angel food and drink scene.

How to get this offer
For the first two weeks of opening (14-27 October 2026), Hot Dinners readers can get a free dish when they're having a drink at Yield Essex Road. If you order a glass of wine, you'll get free olives and salted Marcona almonds. If you order a bottle of wine, you'll get a free signature charcuterie board of cheese and cured meat, plus a free Yield bag.
