A London institution, having been around since 1916, this Piccadilly spot has thrived under Richard Corrigan's ownership. Whether you're perched up at the counter having oysters from some of the best shuckers in the world or upstairs in the more formal dining room, you'll get amazing seafood here.

64 Goodge Street is a French bistro in Fitzrovia that comes from the same people behind nearby Clipston and Portland. Here they're approaching the French menu from "an outsider's perspective" so you can expect some twists on classically french dishes in a compact but friendly space.

A menu with some Irish influence is on offer at this neighbourhood restaurant from Robin Gill (ex-The Dairy), which happens to be inspired by his father. It's an all-day restaurant, bakery and oyster bar just opposite the US Embassy. Particular attention is paid to their sourcing and you should be able to get a great pint of Guinness here too.
