There's more affordable steak on the way - this time in the shape of Hanger SW6, a self-styled "steak and liquor bar". It's across two floors - bar downstairs (seats around 45), restaurant upstairs (around 50).
The heart of the upstairs menu will be, of course, steak. So expect hanger steak (aka the butcher's cut), supplied daily by Hixsons of Smithfield at around £10 per person or £20 to share. And there will also be the Hanger Steak Sandwich, served with Sticky Onions, Watercress, Mustard & Ciabatta. Adding to that, there are small plates and sides like salt and vinegar squid.
Desserts include Hanger Sundae made with Meringue, Fruit Curd, Vanilla & Lemon Pie Ice Cream and Chocolate Orange Brownie & Cornflake Ice Cream. They'll be doing brunch at the weekends - expect steak and eggs for that.
Downstairs in the bar, cocktails are the main event. So there will be The Perfect Storm, a rum and ginger based old fashioned style cocktail and the Chelsea Sidecar too. That one is made with Sipsmith gin infusions, with a Sipsmith distiller on the bar and ever-changing infusions. There will be a separate bar menu down here too.
