One of the best pizzas in the world, Forbici, is coming to London

forbici pizzas are opening at London Bridge

When The Best Pizza Awards 2026 (not to be confused with the better-known 50 Top Pizza Awards) list was released last year, only six UK pizzerias made the cut. One of those was Forbici in Manchester, and now they're bringing their Neapolitan pizzas to London.

Davide Argentino is the pizzaiolo responsible for their award-winning pizzas, which use a biga process to make their super light and airy pizzas. Forbici means scissors in Italian, and the pizzas here are cut into four at the table.

We don't have the full London menu at the moment but we are told that their Provola e Pepe, which comes with San Marzano tomato, smoked provola, black pepper and fresh basil, along with Porcini e Tartufo, a white-base pizza topped with Fior di latte, porcini mushrooms, Italian truffle sauce and chives will both be on offer.

"London feels like a natural next step for us," says the restaurant's CEO Andrew Garton, "and we’re excited to bring what we do to the capital for the first time. We know London has a brilliant and discerning pizza scene, and we can’t wait to give Londoners a reason to make Forbici their new go-to."

They're taking over the old Butchies site on Tooley Street by London Bridge.
