Mardy's sees the man behind Lita opening a sandwich shop in Mayfair

The man behind the very successful Lita in Marylebone, Daniel Koukarskikh, is quietly getting ready for his next London opening, but this one is going to be a little different. Mardy's will be a sandwich shop opening in Mayfair.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much all we've been able to find out about it at this stage. According to job advertisements, they refer to themselves as "a proudly British brand, straightforward, unpretentious, and grumpy about quality." That's backed up with a cartoon campaign featuring their grumpy lead character.

It's opening in one of the spaces near the Bond Street Elizabeth Line entrance, just off Hanover Square, so if you use that station to commute, this could be very handy.

That's all we know for now - we'll update this with more info as we get it.
