It's all change as Pachamama East is closing with a new Greek-influenced restaurant taking its place

pachamama east is closing

A Hot Dinners exclusive

Ever since the Pachamama group had an absolute belter of a success with the opening of Bottarga and then Nina, where Chicama and Pachamama used to be, the writing has been on the wall for Pachamama East. And now we hear that the restaurant will close next month, with plans already afoot for its replacement.

"This marks the end of a defining chapter for us," they told Hot Dinners, "one that has been shaped by bold Peruvian flavours, unforgettable moments, and a deep sense of community. But as with any great story, evolution is key."

Following the trend set by both Nina and Bottarga, what comes next for this space is going to be a brand-new Mediterranean restaurant with a Greek influence. And given that's the type of thing that's really rocking Londoners' boats at the moment (Myrtos, Pyro, Krokodilos et al), it should do well.

"This is not a continuation, but a bold new beginning," they told us. "We’re stepping away from the Peruvian identity and immersing ourselves in the richness of Mediterranean culture, cuisine, and energy."

There's no name for the new restaurant yet, but you'll know when we know. In the meantime, you've got until 2 August to get down to have a last meal at Pachamama East.
