Archway cafe Norman's is closing

Archway cafe Norman's is closing

We've seen a fair few closure announcements of late, but this one has caught us somewhat by surprise. After five years, Norman's Cafe is getting ready to close.

The cafe in Archway had become hugely popular over those years, also managing to attract some very high-profile collabs, notably one which saw the cafe team up with Burberry for London Fashion week (including decking the team out in Burberry uniforms). While many people loved the cafe, it did occasionally come under criticism for being perhaps not quite as authentic as your traditional London greasy spoon caff.

So far, no reason has been given for the closure, announced on Instagram, where owners Richie Hayes and Elliot Kayw have said they are "excited to progress and develop with what we have started at Norman’s through other avenues". So, one way or another, don't expect this to be the end of Norman's.
