En Root bring their plant-based Indian food to Tulse Hill's Railway Tavern

En Root bring their plant-based Indian food to Tulse Hill's Railway Tavern

They only recently launched at The Ritzy in Brixton, but now the Indian-inspired and plant-based food of En Root has opened up in another new home, The Railway Tavern in Tulse Hill.

They've just taken over the kitchen there and this makes it their fourth restaurant in south London (you'll also find them in Clapham and Peckham).

For the new pub kitchen, here's a taste of what's on the menu:

  • Tandoori Wings - Oyster Mushrooms battered in Tandoori Chickpea Batter served with Rajanaisse and a squeeze of lemon
  • Loaded Fries topped with a Jerk Plantain Mushroom Mix and an Onion and Tomato Salsa
  • PoppaNachos -  a poppadom base snack topped with Dhal, Pickled Cabbage, Avocado, Raita and Spice Krispies.
  • The Crispy Oyster Mushroom Burger served with ‘Rajannaise,’ and Mango Chutney

And they will be putting on a Sunday roast too - there will be a Jerk Butternut Wellington or a Lentil Roast served with cauli ‘cheese’, braised red cabbage, masala roasties, sweet carrots, sage stuffing and onion gravy.

So if you're looking for something a little different on the vegan side - this should be worth a trip.
