Crudo's new Mare Street restaurant in Hackney is their biggest yet

crudo mare street hackney

The Crudo group are heading to Hackney for their largest opening yet. They started out in Fitzrovia with a grab-and-go spot back in 2019 before expanding to Old Street. Now they're hitting up Mare Street with their first fully-fledged restaurant.

If you love ceviche and Pisco Sours this is going to be your new Hackney hangout. As its name suggests, the big story here is ceviche. The menu features four ceviches, each with their own different Leche De Tigre that is made in-house with a 12-hour fish stock and red chilli.

  • Sea Bass with Tradicional Leche de Tigre, Sweet Potato & Avocado
  • Tuna with Ponzu Leche de Tigre, Edamame & Nori Seaweed
  • King Prawn with Mexicana Leche de Tigre, Avocado & Cherry Tomatoes
  • Mushrooms with Habanero Leche de Tigre,Sweet Potato, Burnt Corn & Avocado

You'll also be able to try a range of tiraditos along with bigger dishes like 36 Hour Short Ribs and the catch of the day cooked over coals with aji verde. And yes, there will be Pisco Sours on the drinks list.
