London's food hall scene has had a lift recently with new openings at Seven Dials Market and the reopening of Arcade. Now Islington is getting its own mini food hall in the shape of Sessions. It's taken over the space left by the now-closed Rodizio Rico on Upper Street.
Sessions (not to be confused with Sessions Arts Club) comes from the people behind the popular Shelter Hall in Brighton and, like other food halls before, it brings several street food operators together under one roof. On offer at Islington will be:
- Normans - The cult cafe comes to Islington
- Tiger and Rabbit - A modern Korean kitchen from Jay Morjaria
- Zoe's Ghana Kitchen - West African flavours from Zoe Adjonyoh
- Big Has - North London meets The Med
The kitchens will apparently change over time, but that's a pretty strong line-up to be getting started with.
