Chef Nuno Mendes is not someone who lets the grass grow under his feet. Over the summer the Chiltern Firehouse Chef Patron got involved with his local pub doing weekend brunches. Now he's moved into the pizza business.
His newest venture is a collaboration with his neighbours at Sweet Thursday Pizza in De Beauvoir. "At the moment we are offering these super tasty wood fired Pizza sandwiches for lunch every day from 12-4pm," explains Nuno. "Soon when we will hopefully reopen as a restaurant again, there are many more exciting things to share with our friends and local guests!"
Nuno's pizza features crispy baked pizza dough with smoked mozzarella, topped like a sandwich and folded. There are currently four flavours on offer, all delivered locally to De Beauvoir. They are:
- Italian banh mi
- Roast beef and horseradish
- Meatball marinara
- Cauliflower caponata
Plus - his amazing custard tards are available there too, which is absolutely a good reason to visit.
