Harrods has a new Baccarat Bar that's open until midnight

If you're after a swanky new bar experience then the Baccarat Bar, which has just opened at Harrods, looks to be the place.

The jewel-like bar, which has its own entrance that allows it to open outside store hours, was created in a partnership between the Knightsbridge store and the French crystal brand.

Drinks, by award-winning bar manager Cameron Attfield, have been inspired by the colours refracted through the crystal. So you might opt for one of the yellow options, Tryptophan Fix - made with Monkey 47 Gin, Soy Cashew Distillate, Banana Water, Spinach Cordial and soda water served in a Nancy highball glass.

If green's more your hue, there's a Balancing Act drink made with Hennessey VS Cognac, Roasted Butternut Squash, Green Caffeine infused Artichoke Distillate, Truffle Caramel and Petrichor. We had to look up that last 'ingredient' and it's apparently "the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil" according to Wikipedia.

Food-wise, the menu features high-end bar snackage like:

  • Beef cheek beignet
  • Baccarat beef and foie gras sliders
  • Oscietra caviar with blinis and sour cream

The lower ground floor bar has room for just 23 guests under the new social distancing rules so you'll need to book.
