Summing it all up: If you're a fan of Flat Iron's steak great value steak, then you'll be very pleased to hear they're opening a new branch in Spitalfields - which will be very handy for city-folk.
The low-down
The march of Flat Iron continues with this, the latest of their affordable steakhouses opening in Spitalfields (taking over an old Pizza Express site).
if, by some chance, you're not familiar with them, here's the deal - it's all based around steak for around a tenner - and that's namely their flat iron cut. If that's not your favourite cut, though, they always have more specials on the menu too - and some excellent chips as sides. So if you're looking for an affordable steak in town, this should do the trick, but be warned that there are fairly long waiting times for a table in the evening.
New to this branch is a cast iron stove from the 1800s that's being used to create their own version of sticky toffee pudding. And they're expanding quite a bit at the moment - so look out for another Flat Iron soon.
