What: Kare Curry
In a nutshell: Quick Japanese curry in Piccadilly
Summing it all up: This is a new grab and go Japanese curry spot, from the head chef behind Shoryu Ramen's curries. Expect their curry sauce to be at the centre of the menu with an array of toppings.
The low-down
Coming to Air Street (that's just off Piccadilly Circus) is a brand new Japanese curry grab and go spot.
It's all primarily about their own curry sauce, put together by Kanji Furukawa (previously head chef at Shoryu Ramen and responsible for their ramen dishes). That vegetarian curry sauce is apparently a "secret blend of 18 different spices" and served either as mild, spicy or extra spicy. It'll come with a side of rice, broccoli and Japanese pickles as well as your topping of choice. Those include Chicken Katsu; Pork Katsu, Prawn Katsu, Beef Katsu, Chicken Karaage and Pumpkin Croquette. Pricing will be around £7.50.
And on top of that, there will be edamame, chicken wings; takoyaki and seaweed salad as sides. So - if you're shopping in the area, this could be a handy pit-stop. And don't be surprised to see a few more of these around London, either.
