New opening

The team behind Morso have been biding their time at their Bloomsbury and Holloway Road pop-ups, but now they’ve finally secured a permanent location in NW8 from which to dish out sharing plates, pastas, and cocktails made with their beloved grappa.

With bottomless brunches, guest chefs, and a light, summery menu served from within a walled garden, there’s about to be a whole heap of new reasons for you to make the trek out west to Walpole Park and Soane's Kitchen.

We've rounded up the key restaurants you need to have on your restaurant radar this summer - all of which will make staying in town over the summer a total delight.  

Bloomsbury just got itself a very stylish seafood restaurant - we went to see what Brett Redman and Margaret Crow have done with Neptune at The Principal on Russell Square.

Tony Conigliaro is teaming up once more with chef Rob Roy Cameron to open a two floor restaurant and bar on Albermarle Street

They've been a staple of the Deptford street food scene for some time, and now Hank's are launching their first permanent site in an arch at Deptford Market Yard, with their Burgers and Beer restaurant.

It's clearly a does-what-it-says-on-the-tin type of place - with the burger offering being:

• The Big Cheese - 6oz aged beef patty, American cheese, Hank’s

London's newest stylish hotel, L'oscar (read our story on its opening here) has opened for business in Holborn. And running the food side of things is Tony Fleming - who picked up a Michelin star at Angler in the South Place Hotel. With the hotel's all-day spot Cafe 'Oscar already open and the main restaurant The Baptist Grill

The popular US vegan chain is following up its first opening in Covent Garden with it's second at One Tower Bridge. Expect vegan fast food aplenty.  

Bob's Lobster are the latest to graduate from street food markets to a place they can call their own. They're setting up shop in the arches of the fully revamped London Bridge station. And yes, there will be lobster.

After 16 years of business, Japanese restaurant Chisou is on the move - but they're not moving far. They're leaving their former base on Princes Street and opening up a bigger place on Woodstock Street (the same street that Neo Bistro is on). 

The new restaurant adds a chef's table at the sushi bar, and they'll be serving "by the piece" sushi omakase there as a new addition. And they're also adding two new basement private rooms for up to 20

The Brunswick House restaurateur and his chef and partner Andrew Clarke have a fire and ice focus for their new Shoreditch restaurant with an ice bar for raw fish and shellfish and open hearth cooking for meat and vegetables.
