• Lucky and Joy settle down, bringing their Chinese-inspired food to Clapton

  After pop-ups and residencies across town, Lucky and Joy are settling down in Clapton. Expect the usual Chinese-inspired food and drink in a restaurant with a kitsch feel. 

• Mthr is the high-rise dining room for The Collective in Canary Wharf

  This Canary Wharf restaurant is on the 20th Floor of The Collective Canary Wharf, a huge "co-living" space. Open to everyone, they're aiming for an at-home vibe. t

• The new Boulevard theatre is adding an art deco bar and restaurant

  The Boulevard Theatre looks like being a very exciting addition to Soho - and it's bringing with it a brand new art-deco style restaurant and bar too. 

• The Laundry sees Walton Lodge on Coldharbour Lane turning into an all day neighbourhood brasserie and bar

  Taking over an Iconic building in Brixton is local entrepreneur Melanie Brown who also runs the New Zealand Wine Cellar in Pop Brixton. Brown is aiming to turn the old laundry into a two floored all day restaurant and bar.

• CoCo Ichibanya is opening a second curry restaurant in Marylebone

  

  Curry and rice are primarily the order of the day at the latest London outpost of this huge Japanese curry chain. 

• Chucs is opening its latest Italian restaurant and cafe in Belgravia

  The Chucs Restaurant & Cafe collection, specialising in modern European cuisine, will open a fifth site in Belgravia (its largest), which will also be its flagship store.

• Madera at Treehouse London will be a Mexican restaurant with amazing views

  Taking over the old Saint George's Hotel by the BBC's Broadcasting House, on Langham Place is the American Treehouse hotel group and they've brought in the high-end Mexican restaurant group to open high-rise restaurant Madera at Treehouse London.

• Mikkeller and Rick Astley are opening the Mikkeller Brewpub in Exmouth Market

  Cult Danish brewer Mikkeller have teamed up with Rick Astley once more, but their second London bar will also feature a brewery and a restaurant.

• A new restaurant called SW7 will open in… South Kensington

  SW7 restaurant features Madrid chef Javier Rodrigo Alviz, opening at the Hotel London Kensington. At this new brasserie and bar in South Kensington, expect a fusion of Mediterranean and classic British cuisine.

• Lina Stores is bringing pasta to King's Cross

  As the original Soho deli marks 75 years in London, Lina Stores prepares to open a new pasta restaurant and deli in King's Cross. Their largest yet, expect some of their best pasta dishes plus a lot of new additions too. 

• Bleecker are bringing their burgers to Westfield London

• Stoney Street is the new Borough Market restaurant from 26 Grains

  They made their name with porridge, but the team behind 26 Grains has a much more varied menu at its Borough Market opening, Stoney Street. There will be a seasonal menu that adapts from breakfast through to dinner and a handy hatch too. 

• High-end Japanese coffee % Arabica comes to London, opening in Covent Garden and Broadway market

  

  Following the launch of Omotesando in Fitzrovia, another high-end coffee shop % Arabica (not to be confused with the Levantine restaurant) has come to London. They're going one better than Omotesando, launching two stores almost simultaneously, in Covent Garden and Broadway Market. 

  It has to be said, the coffee shops look very stylish indeed - a very paired back, clean look with their signature coffee

• Other Side Fried come to Brixton for their first permanent restaurant

  They started serving up fried chicken in Brixton five years ago and now Other Side Fried are back with a permanent restaurant under the arches.
