• SO|LA is taking over from Rambla as Victor Garvey goes Californian

  Rambla is no more - SO|LA is rising from its ashes. Victor Garvey has decided to close his Soho restaurant and replace it with a brand new place focusing on West Coast USA cuisine.

• Ugly Butterfly is Adam Handling's no-waste restaurant on the King's Road

  Adam Handling has been a supporter of no waste efforts for a while now, and Ugly Butterfly sees him opening a fully no-waste restaurant. It'll take some of the non-used products from nearby Adam Handling Chelsea and create an entirely new restaurant and menu from them.

  November is easily looking like the busiest month this year for restaurant openings. At the latest count, there will be over 40 new openings in the capital this month, averaging well over one a day. So with that in mind, we've whittled down that huge list down into the big ones to watch out for. 

• Bong Bong's Manila Kanteen is BBQ Dreamz' new Bethnal Green restaurant

  They started as street food, won TV's Million Pound Menu, popped up all over London and now BBQ Dreamz are settling down in Bethnal Green. This restaurant will bring together the best of their Filipino dishes a well as a very special Sunday feast. 

• Peckham Cellars is a new neighbourhood kitchen, wine bar and shop opening on Queens Road

• Harrods have opened H café - an all day eating and shopping space - in Henley

  

  Well this was a bit sneaky. Harrods has opened its first standalone cafe outside London. H café opened its doors in Henley two days ago. The two floor spot on Market Place aims to be somewhere you can enjoy the Knightsbridge department store's food whilst also having a range of food, drink and home accessories gift ideas to shop from.
