9 Camp Road, Wimbledon Common, London SW19 4UN
Michelin starred chef Claude Bosi has joined up with his brother to set up this pub/restaurant in the heart of wealthy Wimbledon. This has a more British state of affairs from a place that steers more towards restaurant than pub.

A relative old-timer of Peckham restaurants, having opened in 2004, Ganapati is chef-owner Claire Fisher’s ode to India. The colourful space is filled with mouth-watering aromas that pave the way for the delicious, homely food. The thalis are fail-safe favourites or go off-piste with their more inventive offerings such as tuna with smoked tamarind. The desserts are also great.
140 Wandsworth Bridge Road, London SW6 2UL
Owners Antonio and Cristina wanted to offer Londoners a chance to try some of the new wave of cooking coming out of Spain - so this is less a tapas joint and more of a small plates restaurant, complete with a handy deli if you haven't time to stop and eat. There's also a sister restaurant in Battersea.
16 Balham Hill, London SW12 9EB
Sometimes if you want to find somewhere decent to eat and drink in your manor, you have to go out and open it yourself. That's the mantra behind Avalon - the owners are all locals with four other South London gastropubs under their belt. It looks like they've used all their learnings on Avalon which looks to be a huge hit in these here parts.
