Valrhona launch Cooking With Chocolate book at ClaridgesThe cream - or should that be crème - of the chocolate and patisserie world were at Claridges last night to celebrate the launch of the new Valrhona Cooking With Chocolate cookbook. Pierre Hermé, the man dubbed 'the king of modern patisserie' by the Guardian, and the writer of the book's foreword was there to provide support as were Angela Hartnett, The Great British Bake Off winner Ed Kimber and London chocolatier Paul A Young.

When Hot Dinners could be prised away from the dessert stations bearing examples of the kind of chocolate confections you could make in the book, we took a quick leaf through it. If you're interested in boosting your dessert-making skills, you should definitely pick up a copy.
