Retro styled bar and restaurant Coin Laundry comes to Exmouth Market

A lot's happening in Exmouth Market at the moment and the latest new restaurant heading that way is Coin Laundry, an all-day restaurant with a 70s touch.

There's a big focus on the Chicken Kiev. Their version will be made with hand foraged wild garlic and "a secret bread-crumb blend" with a "Kiev counter" counting down how many are still left in the kitchen. Other dishes n the menu will be a rabbit balti pie, a purple picked egg with chipsticks to dip in it and cauliflower cheese steak. They'll also apparently have homemade crisps served with little parcels of seasoning, so you can season to taste.

Cocktails will also be retro. The Grasshopper and Snowball are on the menu (with modern tweaks) and generous use of a sodastream is promised.

And it'll have a 70's decor too (although they're steering away from being a "themed" venue). Spread across two floors, it'll be an all-day venue and they say the basement will " emulate the feel of a common room, offering a selection of board games to while away the hours, and hosting a regular programme of events from book clubs to club nights and pop-up shops."

Coin Laundry opens 3 December 2015 at 70 Exmouth Market, London EX1R 4QP. Follow them on Twitter @coinlaundryem
