Crosstown Doughnuts open pop-up shop at Piccadilly Circus tube station

crosstown-mainThere's now a very good reason to want your daily commute to take you through Piccadilly Circus - doughnut purveyor Crosstown Doughnuts have just opened a pop-up shop there. This is the first time Crosstown have moved from market stalls into bricks and mortar. The shop is going to be open in the underground station for the next six months, serving fresh doughnuts, coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day.

"We are very interested to see the reaction that we get from commuters and tourists," co-founder JP told Hot Dinners. "If we can turn some heads at one of the world’s busiest stations, I think we can turn heads anywhere. It will be an interesting test for us!"

Crosstown's underground shop will be serving the full range of their (current) fourteen flavours including their exclusive cake doughnuts in two flavours - bourbon chocolate with roasted hazelnuts and gingerbread with lemon icing and crystallised ginger. For drinks they're going to be the exclusive retailer for SAID's Roman hot chocolate (with the exception of SAID's Broadwick Street spot).

Crosstown Doughnuts can be found in Piccadilly Circus Underground station. They'll be open 7am - 7pm Mon - Fri, and 11am - 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Keep up with their news on Twitter @crosstowndough
