My Manor, Emily Roux shares her favourite food and drink places in Fulham

where to eat and drink in fulham

Born into one of London's most gastronomic families, it was no surprise that Emily Roux ended up as a chef and restaurateur. She and husband Diego Ferrari opened their Notting Hill restaurant Caractère in 2018. Emily is also a judge in The Roux Scholarship and appears in Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin stars, the new documentary by Gordon Ramsay and Topjaw's Jesse Burgess. She lives with her family in Fulham and has agreed to share her favourite neighbourhood places with us.

237 Munster Road, London SW6 6BT

This is our favourite local bakery and where we get all of our breakfast essentials such as fresh baguettes. They specialise in sourdough, and the smell is always incredible. The homemade tiramisu is also a great treat to take home.

I don’t really drink coffee, but I love this coffee shop, which serves great matcha. It’s small and quaint. Sometimes I come in for a tea - depending on the time of day, I might opt for a fresh mint tea or a camomile. It has a real neighbourhood feel and I like coming here to unwind.

805 Fulham Rd., London SW6 5HE

This is an outpost of Four Seasons in Chinatown. It’s somewhere I go very often with my kids or order as a takeaway. We always get the choy sum and bok choy for greens and then the beef ho fun. They do all the classics very well and during lunch, there is a dim sum menu which is always a hit.

735 Fulham Road, London SW6 5UL

I recently went here with my kids, and it was an instant success. It’s a quirky and fun café where you can paint ceramics with a coffee and some cake, or even wine and cocktails if you fancy it. They are also available for private hires, and I think it would make a great place for a party.

Level 1, Fulham Pier, Stevenage Rd, London SW6 6HH

A new opening from Adam Byatt that sits right on the river. The view is amazing, and the food is simple and delicious. Their Pâté en Croûte is a standout, and it also changes seasonally. It’s a great restaurant to have within walking distance.
