Daria Grebenyuk launched Silva in Bruton Place, Mayfair, a year ago, following extensive research in the UK and from international travels. Her passion for Mediterranean cuisine and great hospitality has culminated in a very personal and stylish restaurant. Having moved south of the river with her husband recently, she told us, "I've already found myself a handful of places that always deliver — whether that’s for a big night out, a cosy dinner, or just a quick coffee with a friend."
Darby’s
3 Viaduct Gdns, Nine Elms, London SW11 7AY
This is always my first stop. Robin Gill’s restaurant by Nine Elms is a real gem - impeccable cooking, a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, and a dining room that just feels alive. Robin himself is often around, keeping a close eye on things, which makes the whole experience feel very personal. Their morning bread and pastries are excellent too. They're baked fresh daily, and I always take home their sourdough for my morning sandwiches.
Brunswick House
30 Wandsworth Rd, London SW8 2LG
Housed in a Grade II* listed Georgian mansion, this place is as atmospheric as it gets. The rooms are filled with antiques and curiosities, and the menu more than lives up to the setting. I love that they also host live jazz evenings, making it perfect for a drink even if you’re not sitting down for dinner.
Archway Battersea
Arch 65 Queen's Circus, Nine Elms, London SW8 4NE
Tucked away under the arches, this Italian is one of the cosiest spots I know. Think candlelight, ever-changing fresh pasta dishes, and a menu that never fails to warm my heart. It’s small and intimate, exactly the kind of restaurant you always want to recommend to friends.
Atis Battersea
Unit A, 57 Nine Elms Ln, Nine Elms, London SW11 7DE
When I’m after something quick but still delicious and healthy, Atis is my go-to. Their build-your-own bowls and vibrant salads make it an easy lunch spot that doesn’t compromise on flavour.
Nostos Coffee
10a Battersea Park Rd, Nine Elms, London SW8 4FF
Sometimes all you need is a perfectly brewed coffee or matcha and a quiet corner. Nostos is my pick for that. They roast their beans in-house, serve proper ceremonial-grade matcha, and always have a selection of sweet and savoury bites. It’s small, but perfect for catching up with a friend.
