Bonsai
34 Bellevue Rd, London SW17 7EF
For coffee it must be Bonsai on Wandsworth common, superb flat white and lovely hospitable people who really get community coffee spots.
Wimbledon Smokehouse
73 Weir Rd, London SW19 8UG
I run along the Wandle, from Earlsfield through to Malden Hall Park regularly, a pretty towpath by the river. It is also flat, which is always nice. Plus, the Wimbledon Smokehouse is located here, so I get to pop in for some outstanding smoked salmon.
Chez Bruce
2 Bellevue Rd, London SW17 7EG
For celebratory dining, Chez Bruce, untouched in the area for decades and delivers in spades. Matt Christmas is an excellent chef; the wine list has depth due to the restaurant pedigree and long-standing position. Love it.
Toast Rack
314 Trinity Rd, London SW18 3RG
For a casual lunch I would go to the Toast Rack, this place looks simple and unassuming, but the product sourcing is excellent. The bacon they use from HG Walters is to die for.
Lockdown Bakehouse
6 Ferrier St, London SW18 1SW
We now have my favourite Lockdown Bakehouse in Wandsworth, these guys make outstanding bread, pastries, and excellent coffee. More indie places like this please!
