If, like us, you love London's restaurants, then anything on this list would make a perfect present. Either forward it to whoever needs to see it, or use it as a self-gifting guide to work your way through.
Padella: The secret to cooking iconic pasta at home
Waterstones Gift Book of the Year, and for good reason — this is the cookbook destined to be sauce-splattered at your side for years to come. Bring the Borough Market legend into your very own kitchen with recipes worth investing in.
Tamila football shirt (£50)
Picking up accents from curry houses in King’s Cross and Clapham Junction, the footie shirt by MEYBA features a retro collar, an embroidered Tamil Football Club badge on the front with the number 5 in Tamil and an Indian flag on the back.
Dishoom market bag (£18)
There are all manner of branded totes on offer this season, but as you'd expect Dishoom has the best one. It's a properly sturdy bag that's just as good for browsing the markets of East London as it is for Bombay shopping. There's an inner pocket, two handles and it folds nicely when you're not using it.
Jolene scarf (£110)
For the true London bakery obsessive, Jolene has all manner of treats in their online shop from candles to cups and even original artwork. But we're rather taken by this gorgeous scarf. It's a mixture of Merino wool, cashmere and silk and is made by Mourne Textiles in Northern Ireland.
Katto x The Devonshire steak knives (£120 for four)
If you've ever dined in The Devonshire and, like us, coveted their knives, well now you can get them delivered and use them on a home-cooked steak supper. Katto created these Japanese steak knives for the restaurant, so you're getting the exact same cutlery (we've actually bought these ourselves and can attest to the quality).
Dusty Knuckle hoodie
If you fancy getting your hands on some rather covetable merch that also spreads a little goodwill, then the new range at East London bakery Dusty Knuckle is worth checking out. This unisex hoodie has a double-layered hood and is made from organic cotton. It's available from their Dalston and Harringey cafes and 100% of the proceeds of all sales go to the Dusty Knuckle Youth Training Programme.
Tayer + Elementary's Christmas Essentials (£35)
Having already tried one of these cocktails, we can safely say that this set would be received with great pleasure by any cocktail lover. Created by top London bar Tayler + Elementary, it features three bottled cocktails: Tangerine Negroni, Gingerbread Sour and a Roasted Chestnut Old Fashioned. Putting one of these in your bag if you're going to stay somewhere over the holidays with sub-standard booze is also a good plan.
Sambal Shiok's curry pastes and sauces (From £10.50)
Do you know what you're going to need come January? Plenty of vibrant food to ward away the new year blues. And that's where Mandy Yin has you covered. She's got jars of her shrimp or vegan laksa pastes, tomato sambal, peanut sauce and more on sale. You email them to pre-order and then pick up at the restaurant on Holloway Road.
Noble Rot corkscrew (£7.50)
Looking for a useful Secret Santa or Christmas stocking filler for a wine-obsessed friend or family member? This Noble Rot corkscrew would be perfect. They also do a nice line in wine bags, t-shirts and prints too.
Fallow kombu seasoning (£10.99)
If you're thinking of making the signature Fallow corn ribs at home, then you're going to need what really gives that dish its kick - their kombu seasoning. A jar of this seasoning, made with smoked paprika, toasted coriander and cumin, is great to use as a finishing on roasted vegetables, meat and fish.
Yard Sale Pizza scarf (£20)
The Yard Sale Pizza merch store features T-shirts featuring many of their previous collabs, from Four Legs to Romesh Ranganathan. But if you're looking for something particularly unique, it's this YSP Juan Chilli Scarf.
Claridge's Champagne truffles (£18)
As you'd expect, Claridge's does an exquisite line in Christmas gifting. If you fancy a gold and diamond charm bracelet for £35k, this is the place to go. Thankfull,y there's also a range of much more affordable options, including this beautiful box of chocolates made with Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve.
Chimac's sriracha cameral soy sauce (£8)
Ok, so this is a Dublin restaurant, not a London one, but it's from the same people behind London's Butchie's and is available from the UK shop DELLI. This is currently our most-used sauce at home and it's an absolute banger. It's a sweet but spicy syrup that goes well with everything from rice bowls to dumplings or as a meat marinade. Buy it and thank us later.
Top Cuvee vermouth candle (£32)
Inspired by their own house vermouth, Top Cuvée teamed up with sustainable English candlemakers Evermore for a vegan soy wax candle that smells amazing. It's got a burn time of 30 hours.
The Dorian bag from Victoria Beckham (£1250)
For the ultimate in restaurant merch, look no further than Victoria Beckham's tribute to Dorian. What better way for a fashion designer to show her love for her favourite restaurant than to name one of her bags after it? If you're as much a fan of this Notting Hill restaurant as the Beckhams, you could buy this bag too.
