If you live in North London (or indeed anywhere in London) it can't have escaped your notice that a parade has been planned for Arsenal this weekend. Based on the celebrations of the last week or so it's going to be a mad affair with around a million fans expected to pour into the area on Sunday 31 May.
With such a huge crowd expected, the traditional parade route has been expanded, taking in Holloway Road, Finsbury Park, Highbury, Canonbury and Islington. And, as you might have guessed, the restaurants, cafes and bars along that route (and close to it) are already making their plans.
As locals, we've gathered together a list of what some of our favourite places are planning on the day:
Trullo (St Paul's Road) - the popular Islington restaurant went all out for the parade, painting itself red for the event.
Perilla (Newington Green) - serving pints, spritz & a BBQ special of Harissa chicken, with tzatziki, fermented chilli sauce, datterini tomato & white onion salad served with homemade Cypriot chips. That's £20 takeaway or £29 eat in with strawberry mille-feuille for dessert. Both include a pint.
Half Cut Market (York Way) - Will be serving £5 glasses of chilled red
Frank's Canteen (Highbury Park) - extended hours (8-5pm) and doing lamb merguez baps with sioli and shallots on the BBQ outside all day Bar Etna - doing takeaway spritzes
The Plimsoll (St Thomas's Road) - cheeseburgers and pints all day with Foundation FM serving up tunes from 1pm to 6pm.
Carmela's (Upper Street) - is doing 13 inch takeaway pizzas available by the quarter.
Top Cuvee (Blackstock Road) is serving up Sunday lunches courtesy of GrillBird. They'll also be doing snacks and drinks to takeaway from the hatch and takeaway drinks from Shop Cuvee too.
The Drapers Arms (Barnsbury Street) - is expecting to be very busy, so if you want to be sure of getting in, you'll need a booking.
Homeboy (Essex Road) - will be serving drinks out on the street and will have live music inside from 7pm onwards.
Primeur (Petherton Street) - has taken advice and is closing for the day.
And the KFCs in Finsbury Park, Highbury and Seven Sisters - have all switched their signs from Colonel Sanders to Arteta for the parade weekend.
