We love a clever brand activation here at Hot Dinners, and the folks at fashion house Louis Vuitton have been busy over the past few weeks creating a very special pop up for Londoners. The Louis Vuitton hotel is opening for business today on Berkeley Square and will be open to visitors for the next two months.
The couturier has used the 130th birthday of the brand's iconic monogram this year as a reason to go big with celebrations. To that end, they've taken over a whole house in Mayfair that used to be home to the private members club Morton's.
What particularly interests us is the food and drink side of things, and the hotel will feature both a restaurant and bar that are open to the public. Café Alma is on the townhouse's first floor. Here you'll be able to book for lunch or afternoon tea. They'll also be open for Monogram Moments if you fancy just popping in for a glass of Champagne without booking.
On the menu there's lobster rolls, truffle fries and asparagus with lovage. A glass of Ruinart will set you back £29. Afternoon tea features sandwiches, scones, petit fours and entremets for £95, and you can also head here without a reservation and get a box of monogram raspberry biscuits to take away.
There's also a bar, Bar Noé, where you can pop in for a cocktail. This will be open later, with DJs planned for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
It's already looking pretty hard to book tables, so if you fancy a monogrammed tea or late night drinks you'd better move quickly to get a reservation.
