Music and food collide at Sensora, a charity event featuring Bicep and top chefs

sensora food and music charity dinner at outernet

We get a lot of information about foodie events happening all over London, but there are a few factors that make the upcoming charity evening Sensora stand out. The first is the folks supplying the music. Northern Irish artists and festival headliners Bicep are in charge of the music side of the event. They'll be performing a curated set for the dinner, pairing music with each course as it were.

Brothers Mark and James Tuttiett are the organisers. Mark is Head Chef at London's two Michelin-starred restaurant Da Terra. The event is raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity, and the brothers have an intimate knowledge of the charity's work, having lost both parents to brain tumours. There's a connection too with the disease and Bicep, as one half of the duo, Matt McBriar, was successfully treated for a rare brain tumour in 2024.

In terms of the food, there's an impressive line-up of chefs taking part, as the menu below reveals. Each course represents a sense.

  • Cal Byerley (Restaurant Pine) - Chalk stream trout, lemon verbena, horseradish and roe
  • Holly Middleton Joseph (Hausu) - Citrus, black radish, jalapeño, coconut, salty fingers and lime leaf
  • Mark Donald (Glenturret) - Seonaidh
  • Will Murray (Fallow) - Bathurst estate venison, pickled berry, smoked beetroot with Braised venison shank hotpot
  • Tom Brown (The Capital) - Oyster ice cream, cucumber sake, Finger lime
  • Mark Tuttiett (Da Terra) - Yoghurt, pine, walnut and gooseberry

The dinner will take place at Outernet, with welcome drinks supplied by Three Sheets. Tickets are punchy at £375, but it sounds like an amazing experience and is obviously for a great cause.
