Lagom have been in residency for two and a half years at Hackney Church Brewery, but made the decision to step away at the end of 2025 (we'll be looking out for what they have planned next). They built up a great reputation during their time there, but now it's time for someone else to take up their place.
So, coming next to the brewery is a brand-new residency from the duo currently known as Peck Peck. That's a Hackney chicken shop that was originally launched by Sutton & Sons, best known for its fish and chips. Since then the team running it, Sal Whitehead and Hakan Guney, went their separate ways from Sutton & Sons, took it to a new location and have gone from strength to strength, last year landing second place at Wing Fest UK for their buffalo wings.
But it's not actually Peck Peck that will be coming to the brewery - instead, they'll be launching something new - Hendl. That will be focusing completely on rotisserie chicken (as well as porchetta), chicken fat roast potatoes as sides and "rotisserie style Sunday roasts" are also in the offing.
The full menu is still to be revealed, and we'll update with more details when we get the chance, but it's definitely one to watch.
