We've been updating our guide to Christmas Day restaurants throughout the season, but every now and again one comes up that deserves special mention. If you're looking for the ideal present for a big Hawksmoor fan, this is it - they're opening on Christmas Day for the first time.
It'll be their new restaurant in St Pancras that's opening, and it's almost certainly because that restaurant is linked up to the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel (as we say on the guide, most hotel restaurants are open on the day). But if you're really fed up with turkey (it's not even an option on the menu) and all you want is a massive steak, then this is for you.
It's coming in at £200 (which is about upper-mid range on the day, looking at other offerings) and you'll even start in their new Martini Bar. Sounds like a great day for us, but if you really must have turkey, here's who else is opening up on the day.
