About a year after opening, Wildflowers are changing things a little bit in their upstairs bar. What was once simply their upstairs wine bar (albeit in a space which we really loved), is being transformed into a new Basque-style wine and pinxtos bar called Bar Flor.
Now there will be a weekly changing food menu served up there that will be very different from the main restaurant. So dishes could include a new version of their popular potato side from the restaurant, up here called holiday potatoes ‘bravas’. That's alongside a calamari sandwich, mussel escabeche, and seafood gildas. And as it's a Basque-inspired bar, of course there will be a Basque cheesecake on the menu too, along with a chocolate cremosa with macadamia and olive oil.
There will be a new wine list, some Basque ciders and new cocktails (like a Peschiole Martini with gin, vermouth and Peschiole pickle liqueur). We really liked the space up here, and now that it's becoming a destination in its own right, we'd strongly recommend checking this one out.
