Who among us doesn't fancy a change of scenery every now and then? Trader turned restaurateur Markos Tsimikali was feeling the same way. Having closed his original Greek restaurant, Hungry Donkey in Spitalfields this year, he decided to cross town for his new venture.

Vori, he's hoping, will transport Notting Hill residents to the tiny Greek beach it's named after. There'll be plenty of dishes served up from the charcoal oven alongside a wide range of hot and cold small dishes like:

  • Garides (shrimp) Saganaki with Ouzo
  • Home-made Spanakopita
  • Grilled Kalamari with Santorini Fava and Caramelised Onions

Both cocktails and the wine list are an all-Greek affair with Mediterranean takes on the Negroni, Margarita and G&T. They're also promising a range of unpasteurised beers from award-winning Greek microbreweries.

"We view ourselves as ambassadors of Greek hospitality, food and wine," says Markos. "I'm excited to showcase the essence of rustic Greek cuisine and the spirit of Andros."
