After running Beck at Brown's for just over a year, Heinz Beck is moving on, and the restaurant is closing at the end of July.
But the hotel already has the replacement lined up - another chef with a Michelin star to his name is getting ready to take over. Adam Byatt will be the man in charge. He's best known for his restaurants in Clapham, from the Michelin starred Trinity to Bistro Union. This sees him heading north of the river for the first time in years - he originally trained at Claridge's an worked at the Square before opening in Clapham.
He'll be opening his restaurant in September, with the name yet to be revealed. All we know is that it will have a menu of "contemporary British cooking complemented by European influences".
We'll have more info in the run-up to the opening (including the name - maybe "Byatt at Brown's?).
