Summing it all up: Imperial Treasure restaurants have been winning Michelin stars and more awards across Asia and now they're opening in London. Expect a Chinese fine dining experience in a luxe restaurant.
The low-down
A new highly-rated international restaurant is on its way to London - this time it's the turn of Imperial Treasure.
If you haven't heard of them, they're a pretty big thing in Asia, where they have restaurants in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and South Korea. And they've been bringing in the Michelin stars too - Shanghai has two, while the Singapore and Hong Kong Imperial Treasures have one each (while Singapore is also on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list).
As for what kind of experience to expect - the existing restaurants offer a mix of fine dining and casual, but we're told to expect the London outpost to veer more towards the fine dining side of things. We do know the menu will be offering up:
- Signature Peking Duck
- Caviar with Scrambled Egg White
- Baked Crab with Pepper
- Grilled Silver Cod
That Peking duck is one of their key dishes, sliced at the table - so all eyes will be on that dish to see how they pull it off. And we do know that there will be a separate bar area and three private dining rooms too (all on a mezzanine level).
