There's a new Portuguese restaurant in town - and it's coming to the new south London development Flat Iron Square (also soon to be home to Where the PancakesĀ Are). If comes from Max Graham, who's family has been creating Churchill's Port in Douro for centuries - and he's been running supper clubs around London too with Head Chef Tiago Santos. Ā
They'll be serving up a Portuguese small plates menu which includes:
- Croquettes de alheiraĀ (Portuguese smoked sausage)
- Leitão suckling pig
- Octopus with sweet potato and favas,Ā
- CataplanaĀ fish stew,Ā BĆsaroĀ pork ribs with ruby port glazeĀ
- Milk fed lambĀ Chanfana.Ā
Plus they'll have desserts like "FondantĀ ābaba de camelo",Ā Abade de priscosĀ pudding and, of course, Pastel de nataĀ with cinnamon ice cream. And plenty of Portuguese wine to go along with all of that.Ā
