One time, the only pubs in London you'd find serving breakfast would be those next to the key markets like Smithfields. But now Fuller's Ale and Pie pubs will all be open serving the most important meal of the day.
14 London pubs, including The Old Bank of England on Fleet Street and The Barrowboy and Banker in Borough will serve a breakfast menu featuring ingredients from local suppliers, including Mrs Owton’s bacon and Fuller’s own black pudding

Every once in a while a new opening of note slips by us. Upstairs at John the Unicorn on Peckham's Rye Lane is one such place.
The pub opened an upstairs restaurant around eight weeks ago and it's of note, mainly, because of the chap in charge of the kitchen. Many of you will know Ben Mulock from his previous role as senior sous at The Opera Tavern.

Just in time to do brisk trade as the temperatures dip, The Stoke Newington Tea House has just opened on Stoke Newington Church Street, taking over the Daniel Dafoe. And anyone who knew the old pub will be pretty surprised when they return - particularly as there's no longer a a bar. That's been replaced with more of a beer wall. What will be on offer is six hand pulls with regularly rotating craft ales, as well as lagers, bitters and stouts.
There will, as the

Well here's a pub opening we're pretty darned excited about. The Hour Glass pub is getting two new owners - Luke Mackay and David Turcan, who currently run Brompton Food Market. And if the food offering at the pub turns out to be anything like the stuff we've had from their deli then this might be worth crossing town for.
Luke has form for taking on pubs and turning them into something special, having already done this with well regarded country pub The Royal Oak
