- Kensington's Chakra is expanding, opening Chakra Riverside in Kingston upon Thames
This will be the second site from Chakra, with the original being located in Kensington. The new site will be perched on the banks of the Thames in Kingston and will offer a contemporary fine-dining take on Indian cuisine.
- Darling in Dalston will be the new project from Charlotte Wilde
This is the first solo project from Charlotte Wilde, following her departure from Sager + Wilde, which she co-founded with Michael Sager. Other than a wine list designed by Charlotte, she’s pulled in a great team including Tom Soden (Nine Lives) in charge of cocktails and Dan Wilson (Dandy) in the kitchen.
- Cafe Wolseley opens for business in Bicester Village
Fifteen years after they opened the original Wolseley on London's Piccadilly, Jeremy King and Chris Corbin are expanding by opening the first Cafe Wolsely in Bicester's designer shopping village.

There's no ending to Street Feast's ambitions as the latest street food market heads further north than usual - setting up shop in Wood Green. As usual, it's a mix of bars and street food, all wrapped up in a covered market (formerly a disused warehouse).

Night Tales have been appearing in residencies all over London - but this is their first permanent place. They're taking over some of the arches in Hackney Central and are putting in a Japanese garden for good measure.
- BOTTLES team up with SOOD Family for their Old Spitalfields wine bar
Moving from one market to another Bottles & Battles from Mercato Metropolitano are opening their second site in Old Spitalfields Market and this time they're teaming up with pop-up SOOD Family for the food.
- Covent Garden winebar Lady of the Grapes will showcase female winemakers with food by Rambla restaurateur
Taking over the space where Encant was, Lady of the Grapes will be a wine bar, shop and restaurant focusing on wines created by female winemakers and will food by restaurateur Victor Garvey.
- Jumi cheesemongers are opening on Newington Green and raclette evenings are planned
Borough Market's Swiss cheese specialists Jumi are opening their first permanent store in Stoke Newington with plans afoot to hold raclette evenings and cheese school.
- Chiringuito converts a Bethnal Green loo into a Spanish restaurant with a rooftop overlooking the park
Expect Spanish beach-bar vibes as well as an impressive rooftop space from Chiringuito in Bethnal Green. And big Gin Tonics too, of course. All in what used to be a public loo.
- Casa do Frango will serve up Algarvian piri piri chicken in Southwark
Hoping to lure Londoners away from Nando's, this Algarvian restaurant will be cooking its chicken on a wood fired grill. Oh and there's also a secret bar worth checking out.
- BabaBoom's Middle Eastern kebabs are coming to Islington's Upper Street
They already have a kebab restaurant in Battersea, and now they're coming to Islington's Upper Street. BabaBoom will be serving up all their favourite kebabs with meat and vegetables cooked over coal and some cracking Middle Eastern sides too.
- Naked Dough are bringing their cookie dough to Camden Market
Not only are they appearing on the BBC's Million Pound Menu, but Naked Dough are already getting ready to open their third location - this time in Camden Market.
If you're not familiar with them - they sell one of the greatest things possible - raw cookie dough on its own. No longer do you have to attempt to make cookies and just scrape the remaining dough from the bowl - you can get the real thing here.
