• Flor is the new Borough restaurant from Lyle's

  The people behind Lyle's open their second restaurant in Borough called Flor. This time it's part wine bar and part bakery. 

• Flat Iron bring their steaks to Spitalfields

  If you're a fan of Flat Iron's steak great value steak, then you'll be very pleased to hear they're opening a new branch in Spitalfields - which will be very handy for city-folk. 

• Badiani gelato open their new ice-cream parlour on the Fulham Road

  An ex Dairy Head Chef and the Head Pastry Chef at Little Bread Pedlar have teamed up for this bakery and restaurant in Brentford. Right by the canal, you can get pastries and sandwiches by day - and grills, pizzas and more by night.

  Here are the top new restaurants that will be opening in July. This month we have a new opening from the Lyle's team and two big new buildings are unveiled - The Standard Hotel in King's Cross (with Adam Rawson's restaurant) and Manhattan Loft Gardens in Stratford (with Patrick Powell's place).

• The Stratford Brasserie takes over the ground floor of The Stratford

  The Stratford Brasserie second restaurant to be announced in the fancy The Stratford building. It's an all-day brasserie that should have a very impressive look - coupled with an enviable outside space. 

• Gordon Ramsay is opening Lucky Cat in Mayfair

  

  Gordon Ramsay's first new restaurant for years in London will be inspired by 1930s Tokyo drinking dens - it'll take over the spot where Maze was on Grosvenor Square.

• Jason Atherton has gone into the theatre bar business with Pavlova's at The Palace Theatre in Victoria

  

  Back in the day, you'd be lucky to get a warm glass of Pinot Grigio waiting for you in a theatre bar during the interval. Now it's quite a different story.
