Less than a week after earning its Michelin star, it's unfortunate timing for Vineet Bhatia London as it's closing the Mayfair restaurant (that's the team above at their last service).

The results are in! Here are all the details about London's new Michelin stars for restaurants in 2018.

So another Michelin Guide announcement ceremony has come and gone. And it's clear that the huge news is that the UK (and London) has a new three star restaurant. It's been seven years since we last got one when Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester was awarded the full complement. But now The Araki in Mayfair has joined that rareified group.

The UK now has five restaurants with three stars - three of which are in London.

Ahead of the announcement of newly Michelin-starred restaurants on Monday, the Michelin Guide has been busy today announcing new Bib Gourmands on Twitter.

We think they've finished announcing the new Bibs for London restaurants. And if so, the list is somewhat shorter than last year - 10 compared to the 15 new Bibs last year. But it's a good list,

So the new Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2017 is out and London has done rather well with eight new starred establishments (up four from last year). The stars were announced for the first time at an awards ceremony in London with a rather lengthy countdown. Luckily for you, to save you having to watch the whole shebang, along with all the sponsor gubbins, we can precis it down for you.

This year the guide introduced

We had been hearing murmurings about this one for a while - but now it's confirmed that Claude Bosi's Hibiscus is shutting its doors in Mayfair at the beginning of October. It's one of a very small group of restaurants in London with two Michelin stars, so we're not sure what caused the close (but it could well be down to the restaurant choosing to cash in what remains of its spendy Mayfair lease).

It's all change at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester where there's a new Executive Chef at the helm. Jean-Philippe Blondet was previously head chef under Jocelyn Herland who has moved to Le Meurice, before taking up his current position. And as it has been four years since we last tried out lunch here at Michelin's most highly starred establishment in the city (along with Restaurant Gordon Ramsay) we figured it was time for another

The Michelin Eating Out In Pubs Guide 2016 is out today in bookshops and six London pubs have made it into the guide for the first time.
