Canary Wharf

We've seen dining pods pop up from time to time across London, most notably on the south bank of The Thames, but M Restaurants are doing something a little different with theirs. They're stacking a lot of Himalayan salt in them (around the diners, of course). 

They've installed two of the pods outside the M Restaurant in Canary Wharf (overlooking the river),

They last opened in Covent Garden and now Blacklock have their sights set on Canary Wharf's North Dock.

They're part of a big influx of restaurants into the area with recent openings including Hawksmoor, Dishoom and Zia Lucia.

Dishoom has brought its Bombay cafe to Canary Wharf. And, before you ask, the House Black Daal and Bacon Naan are definitely on the menu. We head down to take a look.

They've been in Peckham for a while, but now neighbourhood restaurant Pedler has found a brand new neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. 

They've moved from Peckham, and have taken over the space that used to be Shutters. As with the Peckham original, the focus will be on their produce, including fish direct from day-boat fishermen, so you can expect a changing seasonal menu. A taste of that

In news guaranteed to make a lot of folk in the financial district very happy, Dishoom have announced that Canary Wharf will be the site of their next restaurant opening.

It's been five years since one of London's best-loved restaurant groups opened a new place (that was Kensington back in 2017 if you're wondering). Their

Canary Wharf's food revolution continues apace. While we wait for the launch of Dishoom, another popular restaurant is opening. This time it's the turn of Zia Lucia, the pizzeria that's been a hit all over London. 

As with their other pizzerias, it's all about the 48-hour-fermented dough,

London's continued obsession with competitive socialising is continuing ever apace. They already have a venue in Moorgate, but now indoor clay pigeon shooting bar Clays is getting ready to open in Canary Wharf.

As you might expect, these aren't real clay pigeons (that would get very messy) but the virtual kind. You can pull together a team of up to 20 people for a 90-minute clay pigeon

The latest M Restaurant in London has arrived in Canary Wharf. They still have all the steaks - but there are some added Provencal-style dishes. We went to take a look. 

With all that’s going on in the world, a bit of fun escapism is very much on the cards. If you think fairground attractions are a thing of your youth or something you must endure with your/other people’s children (or bonus points if you thought of an 80s pop band), then a new immersive experience at Canary Wharf is about to remove a few misconceptions.

This new 'stripped back' burger joint is going to be like Patty & Bun's original spot by Selfridges so there'll be room for 35 inside and a few seats outdoors too.
