"The issue is, at the risk of repeating myself, a restaurant by the Clove Club comes with expectations. There’s absolutely nothing to stop these supremely talented guys from opening a solid mid-range Italian restaurant, there’s no good reason they shouldn’t, and that’s exactly what they’ve done." "But, like everything McHale touches, it is interesting and often revelatory: seemingly throwaway items such as “Parmesan fries” are the exquisite love child of a churro and a croqueta, lurid with cheese; I’d like a family bucket." READ REVIEW

"But I wish they’d had the balls to make it just pasta and snacks, and to leave the culinary artistry down the road in Shoreditch. It’s the carbs that bewitch — and the delicious little nubbins and nuggets you get to eat in the bar." READ REVIEW

"The best dishes tried are picked from the bar menu. It is to that part of the operation I’ll be returning. Potatoes cacio e pepe are ribbons of al dente potato wreathed in a cheesy, peppery sauce rivalling the much-loved pici wearing the same dress at Borough Market’s Padella." READ REVIEW
