Middle Eastern | North London
With eyepopping interiors by Tom Dixon and food by Palomar chef and restaurateur Assaf Granit, this was the first restaurant to open at Coal Drops Yard. If you're up at the counter, it's a scene quite familiar from The Palomar - Jerusalem-inspired food served up by a lively kitchen. They also have a handy bar - and outside space - on the first floor.

"The staff work hard to deliver Middle Eastern hospitality but you come out feeling you’ve been a bit of a nuisance. The food, which looks so enticing laid out on the plate like Ottolenghi-flavoured bait for the bourgeois-bohos of the inner NW postcodes, is a snare and a delusion. It falls short of the promise of its original design — unless you get very excited by yoghurt."

"Everything at this place is unquestionably delicious and of very high quality but sometimes there is too much of it on each plate. I didn’t need boiled eggs in the whole octopus tentacle sandwich called the “Borektopus” for example – although I’d love to see it fight the Predator." READ REVIEW
