The terrace has a fully alfresco space, where you can drink (and also smoke) along with a much more covered dining space behind.
A new alfresco place then?
Yes, Rosewood London normally has an alfresco offering in its courtyard and, for this summer, that's a Tulum-inspired terrace in collaboration with Patrón tequila.
Where is it?
The terrace is in the main courtyard at the hotel, which you'll find along High Holborn. It's barely a minute's walk from Holborn tube.
Tequila and Tulum - a Mexico-themed offering then?
Absolutely. The idea is to forget you're in an Edwardian cobbled courtyard in the middle of London and feel that, instead, you're in a hideaway somewhere in Tulum.
While the furnishings and plants certainly give you a Mexican beach vibe, sadly you can't rely on the British weather...
Who's it good for?
Tourists (there were a lot of hotel guests trying it out when we visited) and anyone pining for a hit of Mexican heat. Here's what we had:
Pink Chihuahua (£21) - a pitch-perfect cocktail made with Patrón Reposado, Campari, Passion Fruit, Clarified Hibiscus and Champagne
Tommy’s Margarita (£18)
Guacamole with green tomato, ginger and chile - there's also a version with pomegranate and pinenuts (£11)
Buttermilk chicken tacos with spring onion, coriander and chipotle mayonnaise (£16) - hands-down our favourite dish
Yellow tail tuna, red onion, mango, Habanero chili Tostada (£18)
28-day-aged beef rib eye served with chimichurri and grilled sweetcorn ribs (£33) - I don't know what seasoning they had on that sweetcorn, but it was delicious.
Mexican caramel flan with caramel crisp (£12)
